Sentry launches 5G trial with NTT DOCOMO as a partner

On March 27, 2019— Smart Home Sentry, Inc. (“Sentry”) announced a partnership with NTT DOCOMO, INC. (“DOCOMO”) to trial an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered surveillance solution enabled by DOCOMO’s 5G infrastructure.

As a solution partner of DOCOMO, Sentry will deploy its latest Computer Vision and Video Analytics AI technology at University of Guam Office of Information Technology. DOCOMO’s 5G technologies at this test site facilitate high-speed, large capacity and low-latency transfer of video from the surveillance cameras to the Sentry’s AI engine, allowing Sentry to detect abnormal behavior and suspicious individuals on campus at night quickly and accurately.

Sentry will develop new solutions for the 5G era and collaborate with DOCOMO to make our communities smarter and safer.
