Sentry team is thrilled to announce that our investor & advisor, Dr. Anand Jagannathan has been selected for the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award by his alma mater, making him part of an exclusive group of outstanding achievers like Dr. Arvind Krishna, the CEO of IBM, who won this award last year.
Distinguished Alumnus Award (DAA) of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is the highest award given by the Institute to its alumni in recognition of their achievements of exceptional merit. Out of the thousands of alumni who have graduated in the past 60 years, IIT Kanpur recognized Dr. Jagannathan’s achievements and is conferring him the Distinguished Alumnus Award for the year 2020.
Dr. Jagannathan graduated with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and went on to obtain an MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rice University (Houston). He is a serial entrepreneur; two of the companies he founded went public and three others were acquired. Dr. Jagannathan is also an angel investor and advisor to numerous startups, including Sentry. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences(e.g., TiECON) and actively encourages budding entrepreneurs and business leaders on their journey to success.
The award felicitation ceremony will be arranged over a virtual platform on 2nd November 2020 (61st Foundation Day of IIT Kanpur). The Sentry team heartily congratulates Dr. Jagannathan on his award and hopes to continue to receive his guidance and wisdom in the future.
