Our SOC 2 Type II examination covered the Security Trust Services Category and reviewed the design and operating effectiveness of our security controls. 

The examination looked at how these controls work in practice and provides additional assurance to our customers and business partners about how we protect our systems and information.

How We Protect Your Data

We use multiple layers of security to protect our platform, customer data, and internal systems.

1. Data Encryption

  • AES-256 encryption for data stored in our primary database infrastructure.
  • TLS encryption for database connections and secure HTTPS/TLS access to our web interfaces.

2. Access Control & Authentication

  • Role-based access to ensure people can only access what they need.
  • Two-factor authentication wherever technically possible.
  • Monthly reviews of user access.
  • Timely removal of access when employees leave or change roles.

3. Continuous Monitoring

  • Ongoing monitoring of application performance and infrastructure health.
  • Centralized logging to keep track of important system and security activities.
  • Monitoring supported by Datadog and Google Cloud services.

4. Risk Management

  • Documented information security policies and procedures.
  • Regular risk assessments to identify possible threats.
  • Processes to address and reduce identified risks.
  • Security and compliance reviews of third-party service providers.

5. Incident Response & Recovery

  • Documented procedures for handling security incidents.
  • Response timelines based on the severity of an incident.
  • Scheduled full backups and daily incremental backups of critical resources.
  • Recovery plans for important systems and data.
