Smart Sentry runs on iOS and Android.
Quick start guide
The short version: first sign-in, arming a camera, and acting on your first alert.
Coming soonThe things people ask first.
Condensed from the Smart Sentry user manual. The FAQs answer the commercial questions; these are the operational ones.
Cameras and onboarding
Sentry AI reads existing camera streams — ONVIF or RTSP — and runs the analytics in the cloud, so there is no appliance to install. Placement and field of view decide how well detection works, and the deployment team sets both with you.
Arming, disarming and snoozing
A camera can be armed on a schedule, disarmed while a site is legitimately busy, or snoozed for a short period without losing its configuration. Schedules handle recurring hours and holidays so nobody has to remember to re-arm.
Working alerts
Alerts arrive in two views: a live feed of what is happening now, and a searchable history you can filter by camera, type and time. Each alert carries the frames behind it, so an operator can verify rather than guess.
Health checks
The system watches itself — a covered or tampered camera, a blank or single-colour feed, a camera that has drifted off its scene, and cameras that have gone idle. Scene matching is self-learning and takes a couple of days to settle after install.
Who can do what
Three access levels. Users view alerts and history and act on alarms; Managers also change camera settings; Administrators manage the account, users and subscription. Every change is recorded in the audit trail.
The mobile app
Alerts, live view, history, and arm/disarm/snooze from a phone. Notifications, camera and location permissions each need granting on the device — the app shows the state of all three on the profile tab.
Access control and monitoring centres
Badge events from LenelS2 OnGuard pair with what the camera saw, and verified alarms flow into central station platforms. Both are configured with our engineers rather than self-served.
Something looks wrong
Smart Sentry is updated continuously, so a screen may not match what you were shown at install. If something does not behave as documented, email support and we will tell you plainly whether it is a change or a fault.
Still deciding whether Sentry AI fits your site? The FAQs cover guards, cameras, monitoring and what the AI actually does.
